Extension springs are made out of round wire from metal or a metal alloy by bending it like a screw. Extension springs usually have hooks or ring shaped ends. These kind of springs are mostly used by keeping one end fixed and pulling on the other end. When the pulling force is removed the spring returns to its original state.
